1. NATURE OF PLATFORM
Merceton is a hybrid SaaS technology platform and settlement facilitator that enables merchants to create digital storefronts and sell products online.
Merceton does not act as the seller of products listed by merchants unless explicitly stated.
2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
2.1 Information Collected from Merchants
We may collect:
- Full name and contact details
- Business registration details
- PAN, GST details (if applicable)
- Bank account details
- KYC documents
- Address and verification documents
- Transaction data
- Communication records
2.2 Information Collected from Customers
When customers transact on merchant storefronts, we may collect:
- Name
- Email address
- Mobile number
- Shipping and billing address
- Order details
- Payment transaction identifiers
Merceton does not store full card details.
2.3 Automatically Collected Information
We may collect:
- IP address
- Browser type
- Device information
- Usage analytics
- Log data
3. PURPOSE OF DATA COLLECTION
We collect and process personal data for:
- Merchant onboarding and verification
- KYC compliance
- Payment processing and settlement
- Order processing
- Fraud detection and risk monitoring
- Customer support
- Legal and regulatory compliance
- Platform improvement and analytics
We process personal data only for lawful purposes.
4. PAYMENT PROCESSING
Payments are processed through integrated payment gateway providers including Cashfree.
Merceton does not store debit or credit card information.
Payment data is processed as per the payment gateway’s privacy and security standards.
5. LOGISTICS INTEGRATION
If merchants use integrated logistics partners, relevant shipping details (name, address, phone number) are shared with courier partners solely for order fulfillment.
Merceton is not responsible for misuse of data by third-party service providers beyond contractual obligations.
6. THIRD-PARTY SERVICE PROVIDERS
Merceton uses third-party infrastructure providers including but not limited to:
- Cashfree (payment processing)
- Supabase (backend infrastructure)
- AWS (cloud hosting)
- Neon DB (database infrastructure)
- Integrated courier partners such as Delhivery
These service providers process data strictly for operational purposes and under contractual safeguards.
7. DATA RETENTION
We retain personal data:
- For as long as required for service provision
- As required under tax, financial, and regulatory laws
- For dispute resolution and fraud prevention
After expiration of retention requirements, data may be deleted or anonymized.
8. DATA SECURITY
We implement reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect personal data, including:
- Encrypted data transmission
- Access controls
- Secure hosting infrastructure

However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
16. GOVERNING LAW
This Privacy Policy shall be governed by Indian law.Courts located in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
